Step 9All of the cells in the top row have been merged.
Tip: You could also have selected the cells in the top row and used the Merge Cells command in the Cell menu. However, working with HTML tables is not like working with Word tables. You cannot easily select blank cells. If you need to select blank cells for formatting, it is often best to type a single character in the blank cells to function as placeholders.
Step 10You can change the alignment of cells. Use the toolbar to left align the merged text.
Click the Align Left button.
Step 11Unlike Word tables, you cannot set properties for an entire row or column. You can select cells and set cell properties. Select the 8.5 and 11 values in the Letter row.
Click the 8.5 value in the Letter row.
Step 12Press the [Shift] key and click the 11 value in the Letter row.
Step 13Use the context menu to change the cell properties.
Right-click one of the selected values.
Step 14Point to the Cell menu.
Step 15Click the Cell Properties link.
Step 16Set a Width of 100 and click OK.
Click in the Width field.
Step 17Enter the desired information into the Width field. Enter
Click the OK link.
Step 19Some cell properties affect an entire row or column; for example changing the Width of a cell affects the entire column, while changing the Height of a cell affects the entire row.
