After you download the Oracle FS Path Manager (FSPM) installation package, you can install the software on your SAN host.
- Prerequisite:
Complete any needed pre-configuration of the SAN as described in this document.
- Install the FSPM depot file using the following command:
# swinstall -s `hostname`:/tmp/fspm-version.platform.depot FSPM
Note: In the command above, /tmp is the temporary directory where you saved the downloaded depot file, and version and platform are the names of the release version and the hardware platform on the installation package you downloaded. Examples include: fspm-4.0.x.hppa.depot or fspm-4.0.x.ia64.depot
After you install the software, follow the instructions on how to configure SAN host access to LUNs. You must complete that task for the software to function correctly.
