Adds an unassigned drive group to a Storage Domain.
Before a drive group can be used, the drive group must be assigned (added) to a Storage Domain.
Note: For the most effective rebalancing and use of system resources, include as many drive groups as possible in a single request.
- Storage Domain
Specifies the assigned Storage Domain for the selected drive groups.
- Rebalance Volume Data
Specifies that the system balances the existing volumes across the drive groups when you add drive groups to the Storage Domain. When enabled, the system distributes the data of the existing volumes to all of the drive groups in the Storage Domain. Not selecting the option retains the data distribution across the existing drive groups in the Storage Domain.
- Drive Groups to be Included
Displays the drive groups that are to be associated with the Storage Domain.
- Additional Drive Groups to Include
Displays additional drive groups that are not associated with a Storage Domain. You can also add those drive groups to the Storage Domain. Select the drive groups you want to include.
Note: If there is only one drive group, this list of additional drive groups to include is not displayed.
