Manages the organizational units that group the collections of logical volumes on the Oracle FS System, including the nesting of volume groups.
Volume Group

Identifies the name of the volume group. Valid volume group names consist of letters and numerals and can be up to 14 characters in length. Each volume group name must be unique within its parent volume group.

Parent Volume Group Name

Identifies the name of the top-level node in a nested volume group relationship.

Logical Capacity (GB)
Provides an overview of the logical capacity usage and the logical capacity requirements of the volume group.
Used
Indicates the amount of allocated capacity that is consumed.
  • For LUNs, this amount is the same as the allocated amount.

  • For filesystems, this amount is the allocated capacity that contains user data.

Allocated

Identifies the total amount of storage capacity that is reserved for this volume or this volume group.

Distribution

Displays a graphical comparison of the allocated capacity that this volume uses to the unused allocated capacity.

Create

Opens a dialog that allows you to add a volume group.

Modify

Opens a dialog that allows you to modify the properties of a volume group.

Delete

Removes the selected volume group.
