Delete a Host Entry

Delete the host entry when you want to disassociate the initiators from the entry.

The Oracle FS System retains your LUN mappings to the initiators of your deleted host entry. You can remove the mappings, as necessary.

  1. Navigate to SAN > Storage > Hosts.
  2. Select a host from the list to delete.
  3. Select Actions > Delete Host.
Result:The system displays the Delete Host dialog.
  4. (Optional) Select the Delete mappings and initiators? option.
By selecting the Delete mappings and initiators? option, the system removes any LUN mappings and from the associated initiators, and does not immediately create unassociated host entries for the initiators. In this case, the system creates unassociated host entries for any of the discovered initiators on the SAN.
  5. Click OK.

If necessary, refresh the screen to view the unmapped host initiators by clicking the refresh icon ( alternate image text ).
