If needed, you can modify the association of your volumes to your volume groups. For example, after you create a volume group you can move one or more logical volumes from an existing volume group to the new volume group.
As you assign LUNs, filesystems, and possibly other volume groups to a selected volume group, Oracle FS System Manager (GUI) provides you with a preview of your selected change in the Volume Groups overview page.
- Navigate to .
- Select .
- From the Volumes tab, select a LUN or filesystem to move.
- Select a Volume Group entry to modify the hierarchical structure where your volume is a child of the selected parent.
Tip: To move the volume outside of all custom volume groups, select <none>.
- Click OK.
