Verify the Oracle FS VSS Provider Installation

After you install the Oracle FS Volume Shadow Copy Service Provider (VSS) software, verify the installation so that you can register more Oracle FS Systems.

Prerequisite: Installed VSS software.

Verify the software installation from the command prompt on your server.

From your Windows server, navigate to Start > Run.
From the Open field, enter cmd.
Verify installation by running the following command.
```
C:\vssadmin List Providers
```
Result:This command returns the name of the VSS provider, for example:
```
Provider name: 'Oracle FS VSS HW Provider'
```
If the VSS Provider returns the provider name, Oracle FS VSS HW Provider, then the installation was successful and your server can use the VSS provider to create shadow copies.
