View the Drive Enclosure Console

After you replace a drive in the Drive Enclosure, you can view the RAID output in the Drive Enclosure console.

Prerequisite

Logged in to Oracle FS System Manager (GUI) using the Administrator role, the Oracle Support role, or the Support role.

RAID output is generated by the Oracle FS System and written to the Drive Enclosure console. You can copy the output and, if requested, send that output to Oracle Customer Support.

  1. Navigate to System > Hardware > Drive Enclosures.
  2. Select Actions > View Drive Enclosure Console.
    Result:The Drive Enclosure Console dialog appears and an informational warning is displayed.
  3. Click Next.
  4. Select the Drive Enclosure that you want monitor.
  5. Select the I⁠/O Module that you want to monitor.
  6. (Optional) To ensure that no other Drive Enclosure console session is running on the Oracle FS System, select the Disconnect other users from the Drive Enclosure console option.
  7. Click Next.
    Result:Oracle FS System writes output from the Drive Enclosure to the console.
  8. (Optional) To pause the display, click Scroll Lock.
    To restart the display, click Scroll Lock again.
  9. (Optional) Capture all of the output from the console.
    Valid choices:
    • Copy to Clipboard
    • Save Log to File
  10. To terminate the Drive Enclosure console session, click Finish.

If you selected the option Save Log to File, you might be asked to send the log file to Oracle Customer Support, or to attach the file to a service request in My Oracle Support (MOS).
