The plugin is software that runs on the Oracle Fabric Manager application suite. Oracle Fabric Manager supports multiple platforms through platform-specific plugins. You must purchase and install Oracle Fabric Manager to use the Netra Modular System plugin.
The plugin provides a Graphical User Interface (GUI) for performing system administration tasks: fault management, hotswap control, alarm control, node power control, and server firmware upgrades.
For the Netra Modular System, the Oracle Fabric Manager framework is hosted on the Frame System Agent (FSA), which also runs the management stack. The Oracle Fabric Manager framework with the Netra Modular System plugin installed becomes the client of the FSA management stack. The plugin communicates with the stack via Java Management Extension (JMX).
The modular system plugin is included in the Netra Modular System software release package and provides the following:
frame view, providing status summary of the frames
frame detail status
