Welcome to the Oracle Test Manager User Guide. This guide explains how to use Oracle Test Manager and the Administrator to organize and manage your overall Web testing process.

Audience

This guide is for developers, administrators, managers, QA engineers, and testers who will be using Oracle Test Manager to track requirements, tests, and issues for testing projects.

Prerequisites

Although no specific technical knowledge is required, some knowledge of test management and defect tracking is assumed. Administrators should be familiar with the concepts of user roles and database administration and management.

Convention Meaning
boldface Boldface type indicates graphical user interface elements associated with an action, or terms defined in text or the glossary.
italic Italic type indicates book titles, emphasis, or placeholder variables for which you supply particular values.
monospace Monospace type indicates commands within a paragraph, URLs, code in examples, text that appears on the screen, or text that you enter.
