Working with Price Tags (WPTG)

Purpose: Use this menu option to review, modify, and print price tags. The system creates a price tag batch when you:

• generate picks for orders whose order type matches the order type defined in the Order Type to Print Price Tags during Pick Generation (M28) system control value; see Creating a Price Tag Batch during Pick Slip Generation.

• process an RF PO Receipt transaction for an item that is assigned to a price tag type; see Creating a Price Tag Batch for an RF PO Receipt Transaction.

• process a Store Transfer Receipt transaction for an item that is assigned to a price tag type; see Creating a Price Tag Batch for an RF Store Transfer Receipt Transaction.

You can also manually create a price tag batch using this menu option.

Work with Price Tags Screen

Purpose: Use this screen to work with price tags.

How to display this screen: Enter WPTG in the Fast path field at the top of any menu or select Work with Price Tags from a menu.

When you first advance to this screen, price tags display in ascending price tag batch number sequence.

Column sort: You can sort on any of the columns on this screen by clicking the column name. An arrow pointing up displays next to the field when the values for the field display in ascending sequence; an arrow pointing down displays next to the field when the values for the field display in descending sequence.

Field

Description

Batch #

The price tag batch number assigned to the batch of price tags. The system assigns a price tag batch number using the next available number from the Price Tag Batch # number assignment value.

Enter a valid batch number to display the price tag batch whose batch number matches your entry.

Numeric, 9 positions; optional.

Billing Batch #

The billing batch number associated with the price tag batch.

A billing batch number is assigned to a price tag batch if the price tags were created during pick slip generation; see Creating a Price Tag Batch during Pick Slip Generation.

0 displays if a billing batch number is not assigned to a price tag batch.

Enter a valid billing batch number to display the price tag batch whose billing batch number matches your entry.

Numeric, 7 positions; optional.

Status

The status of the price tag batch.

O = Open; all price tags for this batch have not been printed.

P = Printed; all price tags for this batch have been printed.

Note: The system does not update the status of a price tag batch to P Printed when you print individual price tags in a batch.

Enter a valid status to display price tag batches whose status matches your entry.

Alphanumeric, 1 position; optional.

Screen Option

Procedure

Create a price tag batch that contains miscellaneous items

Select Create. See Creating a Miscellaneous Price Tag Batch for instructions.

Note: You must have authority to the Create/Change Price Tags (J09) secured feature; otherwise, an error message displays: Not Authorized to Create Price Tag Batch.

Create a price tag batch for the items on an order that are assigned to a price tag type

Select Create from Order to advance to the Enter Order - Ship To window. See Creating a Price Tag Batch Based on Order for instructions.

Work with the items in a price tag batch

Select Work with Batch for a price tag batch to advance to the Work with Price Tag Detail Screen.

Delete a price tag batch

Select Delete for a price tag batch. At the Are you sure you want to delete this Price Tag Batch? window, select Yes to delete the batch; otherwise, select No to cancel.

Print a price tag batch

Select Print for a price tag batch. See Printing Price Tags for instructions.

Work with Price Tag Detail Screen

Purpose: Use this screen to work with the items assigned to a price tag batch.

How to display this screen: Select Work with Batch on the Work with Price Tags Screen.

When you first advance to this screen items display in batch number, item number, SKU code sequence.

Column sort: You can sort on any of the columns on this screen by clicking the column name. An arrow pointing up displays next to the field when the values for the field display in ascending sequence; an arrow pointing down displays next to the field when the values for the field display in descending sequence.

Batch #

The price tag batch number whose details you are reviewing.

Enter a valid batch number to display price tag details that match your entry.

Numeric, 9 positions; optional.

Item

The code for an item in the price tag batch.

Enter a full or partial item number to display price tag details that contain your entry.

Alphanumeric, 12 positions; optional.

SKU

The SKU of an item in the price tag batch.

Enter a full or partial SKU code to display price tag details that contain your entry.

Alphanumeric, 14 positions; optional.

# of Tags

The number of tags assigned to the item in the price tag batch.

Enter a valid number to display price tag details that match your entry.

Numeric, 3 positions; optional.

Tag Type

The price tag type assigned to the item.

Enter a valid tag type to display price tag details that match your entry.

Numeric, 2 positions; optional.

Screen Option

Procedure

Create a price tag detail

Select Create to advance to the Create/Change Price Tag Detail Screen.

Note: You must have authority to the Create/Change Price Tags (J09) secured feature; otherwise, an error message displays: Not Authorized to Create Price Tag Batch.

Change a price tag detail

Select Change for a price tag detail to advance to the Create/Change Price Tag Detail Screen. At this screen, you can change only the # of tags and Tag Type.

Delete a price tag detail

Select Delete for a price tag detail. At the Are you sure you want to delete this Price Tag Detail? window, select Yes to delete it; otherwise, select No to cancel.

Print a price tag detail

Select Print for a price tag detail. The system displays the message Price Tag Batch successfully printed once processing is complete.

Note: The system does not change the status of a price tag batch to P Printed when you print an individual price tag in the batch.

Create/Change Price Tag Detail Screen

Purpose: Use this screen to create or change a price tag detail.

How to display this screen:

• Select Create on the Work with Price Tag Detail Screen.

• Select Change for a price tag detail on the Work with Price Tag Detail Screen. In this situation, you can change only the # of tags and Tag Type.

Field

Description

Batch #

The price tag batch number whose details you are reviewing.

Numeric, 9 positions; display-only.

Billing Batch #

The billing batch number associated with the price tag batch.

A billing batch number is assigned to a price tag batch if the price tags were created during pick slip generation; see Creating a Price Tag Batch during Pick Slip Generation.

0 displays if a billing batch number is not assigned to a price tag batch.

Item

The code for an item in the price tag batch.

Item codes are defined in and validated against the Item table.

Alphanumeric, 12 positions.

Create: required if you do not define a UPC code.

Change: display-only.

SKU

The SKU of the item in the price tag batch.

SKU codes are defined in and validated against the SKU table.

Alphanumeric, 14 positions.

Create: required if you define an item code and the item contains SKUs.

Change: display-only.

UPC

The UPC code assigned to the item in the price tag batch. This is the UPC from the Item UPC table for the UPC Type defined in the Default UPC Type for Slotting New Items (L84) system control value.

UPC codes are defined in and validated against the Item UPC table.

Alphanumeric, 14 positions.

Create: required if you do not define an item code.

Change: display-only.

Class

The long SKU class assigned to the item in the Item table.

Alphanumeric, 3 positions; display-only.

Department

The long SKU department assigned to the item in the Item table.

Numeric, 4 positions; display-only.

Vendor

The long SKU vendor number assigned to the item in the Item table.

Numeric, 7 positions; display-only.

Season

The season code assigned to the item in the Item table.

Alphanumeric, 3 positions; display-only.

Regular Price

The regular price of the item. This is the list price assigned to the item/SKU in the SKU table.

Numeric, 7 positions with a 2-place decimal; display-only.

Sale Price

The sale price of the item. This is the Price from the Item Price table whose Offer Number matches the offer number defined in the Current Offer (A33) system control value and whose Effective date is less than or equal to the current date.

Numeric, 7 positions with a 2-place decimal; display-only.

# Tags

The number of price tags to print for the item.

• If you created the price tag batch during pick slip generation, this is the quantity of the item on the pick.

• If you created the price tag batch during RF PO Receipt, this is:

• the Quantity ordered in the PO Detail table if the Price Tags Option field was set to A Print All Tags.

• the quantity received if the Price Tags Option field was set to R Print Received Tags.

• If you created the price tag batch during RF Store Transfer Receipt, this is:

• the Quantity due in the Store Transfer Receipts table if the Price Tags Option field was set to A Print All Tags.

• the quantity received if the Price Tags Option field was set to R Print Received Tags.

• If you created the price tag batch using the Create from Order option on the Work with Price Tags Screen this is the quantity of the item ordered.

• If you created the price tag batch using the Create option on the Work with Price Tags Screen this is the quantity you entered in the # Tags field on the Create/Change Price Tag Detail Screen.

Numeric, 3 positions; Required.

Tag Type

The type of price tag to print for the item; this is the price tag type assigned to the item unless you manually changed the tag type on the Create/Change Price Tag Detail Screen.
