Purpose: Use this screen to define which upsell window should appear in Order Entry.
Code field: Enter the code that identifies which upsell window will appear in Order Entry when the customer is eligible for multiple order header upsell promotions. Valid entries are:
• *NONE
• SOURCE
• CUST CLASS
• STATE
• PAY TYPE
If you leave this field blank, no upsell windows appear during Order Entry.
If a customer is eligible for more than one upsell promotion (Source, Customer Class, State, and/or Paytype), and no primary upsell category is defined here, all upsell windows for which the customer is eligible appear. Otherwise, if a customer is eligible for more than one upsell promotion and a primary upsell category is defined, only the primary upsell window appears.
Example: If SOURCE is defined here and the customer is eligible for both source and customer class, only the source upsell window will appear. However, if SOURCE is defined here and the customer is eligible for customer class and state upsell promotions, both windows will appear.

You can set up promotions in one or more categories. An upsell promotion establishes special prices for up to three items, based on one of the following categories:
• customer's source code
• customer class
• sold-to state
• payment type
• item class
• day of the week
A pop-up window appears in Order Entry if the customer or order is eligible for an Upsell Promotion. The upsell window displays up to three items, one line of text describing each upsell promotion, the price and availability of each item. No upsell window appears if there is an item restriction or if there is no available inventory.
The system tracks the demand and sale of upsell items separately from all other items. This allows you to analyze the number and dollar value of items that are sold as a part of an upsell promotion.
