Creating a Siebel Target List Using Oracle Pharma Sales Disconnected Analytics Answers

The Target List Creator functionality supports offline usage with Oracle Pharma Sales Disconnected Analytics. This topic details what you must do to create a target list and import it into list management from Oracle Pharma Sales Disconnected Analytics Answers, which is accessed from within the Siebel Pharma Mobile Web Client.

To be able to perform this task, make sure that:

  • The integration between the Siebel Pharma Mobile Web Client and Oracle Pharma Sales Disconnected Analytics is set up correctly
  • The Oracle Business Intelligence Disconnected Client is running
  • The local data set for Pharma Sales Disconnected Analytics is synchronized

To create a target list and import into list management

  1. In the Siebel Pharma Mobile Web Client, navigate to the Answers screen.
  2. Select Pharma Promotional Effectiveness from the list of Subject Areas.
  3. Create a query that contains ROW_ID in the first column. For example, select the following columns:
    1. From the Contacts folder: ROW_ID, Full Name.
    2. From the Contacts - Contact Profile folder: Market Potential, Primary Specialty.
  4. Filter the contacts on the Market Potential and Primary Specialty columns as appropriate.

NOTE:  ROW_ID is mapped to the INTEGRATION_ID column in the underlying Data Warehouse dimension table. This column stores the value of the Siebel Pharma application's Row Id for the Contact. This is a required field and must be the first field in the query. No other field is required to make the Create Target List work.

  5. Click the Results tab to list all the contacts that meet the criteria.
  6. From the Add View drop-down list, select Create Target List to add the Create Target list view to the report.
  7. Save the report with the added Create Target List view.
  8. While still in the Results screen, click the Create Target List to invoke a dialog box prompting for the name of the new Target list.
  9. Enter a name for using this Target List in the Siebel Pharma Application, and click OK.

The Target List is created, and the application navigates to the Siebel Pharma Application's List Management screen to display the new Target List.

The new Target list can now be applied in multiple views within the Siebel Pharma Application. For more information about applying target lists, see Creating and Applying Target Lists.

NOTE:  The name of the target list must be unique. If a target list already exists with the same name, the application returns an error when the Create Target List is used. To reuse an existing name, go to List Management in the Siebel Business Application, and delete the list that exists with that name.
