Setting the Local Database Password

This task is a step in Process of Configuring Encryption and Authentication for the Remote Client.

Using different credentials to access and synchronize the local database provides a layer of security against unauthorized access to the local database and the server database. The user can redefine the password for the local database so that it is different from the synchronization password. For more information, see About the Siebel Enterprise and the Siebel Enterprise Server and Siebel CRM Version 8.0 Modifications to User IDs and Passwords for Local Databases.
