(These releases are also known as Siebel Innovation Pack 2013.) References in this chapter to the current release are to Siebel CRM version 8.1.1.11, version 8.2.2.4, or a later version. Whether you must perform the tasks described in this chapter depends on which of the following installation cases applies to you:
NOTE: For the Siebel Enterprise Server and the Siebel Web Server Extension (SWSE), installing a Siebel Fix Pack release for the current release as a patch installation is also called performing a migration installation. For more information about performing a migration installation, see the Siebel Installation Guide for the operating system you are using. The tasks described in this chapter apply to any languages that are part of your existing deployment before you install the current release. For a multilingual deployment, you must perform some tasks multiple times, once for each language. After you install the current release (using either of the installation cases) and set up Siebel eService for Siebel Open UI, you can use the Configuration Wizard tasks to deploy any additional languages on the Siebel Server and the SWSE. These tasks add all of the applicable Application Object Managers and virtual directories for these languages, including those for Siebel eService for Siebel Open UI. After you perform these tasks for the additional languages, you do not have to perform the tasks that are described in this chapter. For more information about installing and deploying Siebel Business Applications with multiple languages, see the Siebel Installation Guide for the operating system you are using. |
