About Provisions

Provisioning is the process by which you authorize specific employees in your organization to access to your company's Primavera Cloud applications. Employees who are not provisioned will not be able to access any of your Oracle Primavera applications.

The two types of provisions in Primavera Cloud Administration are roles and accounts. Users need a combination of roles and accounts in order to gain access to specific applications and application functionalities. Refer to the following sections for information about which roles and accounts are needed to access your Oracle Primavera applications and functionalities.

Accounts

Access to P6 EPPM applications requires users to have the P6 EPPM account instance.

Access to Primavera Unifier requires users to have the Primavera Unifier account instance.

Roles

The following table contains a list of the Oracle Primavera applications and the roles that can be assigned to users for each application:

Role Descriptions

BI Consumer: Users who are assigned this role can run and view all of the reports that were made available to their folders.

BI Author: Users who are assigned this role can run and view all of the reports that were made available to their folders.

Note: By default, data sources to product schema, such as P6 EPPM, Oracle Primavera Prime, Primavera Unifier, are preassigned to the BI Consumer and BI Author roles.

BPM Project Creator: Users have access to BPM and can read, write, and close BPM projects.

BPM Project Viewer: Users have access to BPM and can read BPM projects.

p6rdbuser: Users have access to Analytics and can run an ETL.

p6sec: Users have access to UCM for Primavera applications.

Primavera Users: Users who are assigned this role can log in to Oracle Primavera Prime.

Partner Users: Partner users who are assigned this role can log in to Oracle Primavera Prime.

Primavera Gateway Admin: Users who are assigned this role have complete access to Primavera Gateway as a user, developer, and administrator. Assign this role to create a Primavera Gateway administrator with complete administration privileges and access to data.

Primavera Gateway Developer: Users who are assigned this role can create new providers for Primavera Gateway and can customize delivered providers to support their ERP.

Primavera Gateway User: Users who are assigned this role can create, run, and monitor synchronization jobs in Primavera Gateway. Assign this role to create Primavera Gateway users with access to data.

Primavera Cloud Admin: Users who are assigned this role can log in to Primavera Cloud Administration. These users can create new users, assign / retry provisions, reset passwords, view user information, and view notifications.
