Creating Administrator Accounts

You can create new administrator accounts, each with different roles that are authorized to perform different functions. For example, you can create a Monitor account that has the authority to perform read-only management tasks and the ability to modify only their own account attributes.

You can create multiple accounts in an Oracle FS System. More accounts are useful, for example, if you want to delegate responsibilities. For example, you might choose to create the following accounts:

At least one additional administration account. In this way, a designated person can assume responsibility while the Primary Administrator is unavailable. Assign the Administrator 1 role to this account.
Tip: For day-to-day operations, do not use the built-in Primary Administrator account (administrator). Instead, be sure that an Administrator 1 account is set up and use that account for the day-to-day operations. One reason is that, besides the Primary Administrator, only an Administrator 1 can modify an account password (including that for the Primary Administrator) without knowing the previous password.
One or more administration accounts with read-only privileges. In this way, managers can monitor the system but they cannot change configuration details. Assign the Monitor role to these accounts.

If you delegate administrative tasks, you can have the other administrators perform certain tasks, including:

Modify account attributes. For example, change the password of an account or disable an account.
Change the security settings of accounts.
Delete obsolete accounts.

Important! Specify an email address for all administrator accounts, which allows the system to send critical notifications to those accounts. Such a notification is important, for example, when the password for an account is about to expire. If you do not enter an email address for an account, administrators cannot reset their own passwords using the Reset password feature.

You can create a maximum of 128 administration accounts. Only 25 user-created account sessions can be logged in at any given time. Only five accounts are permitted to be logged in at the same time. A Primary Administrator can forcefully log in to free up an account session if necessary.
