Administrator Account Types

Administrator login accounts have certain privileges, which depend on the role of the account.

To administer an Oracle Flash Storage System, you must log in using an administrator account. Every account performs a specific role that defines system privileges.

Administrator 2

Can perform all tasks with the following caveats:
  • Cannot create or manage administrator accounts.

  • Cannot modify software configurations or hardware configurations.

  • Cannot shut down the system.

  • Cannot run commands by means of the Drive Enclosure console or the enclosure_console Oracle FS CLI command.

Monitor

Customer defined

Can display system information only; cannot modify the configuration. Administrators using this role can modify their own account attributes.

Oracle Support

Yes

Can perform limited customer service-only functions; cannot modify the configuration. This account cannot be deleted or disabled.
Note: Only the Oracle Customer Support personnel, including authorized service providers, can use this account.
