In order to protect your security, Oracle enforces strict rules for choosing passwords for access to Oracle FS System Manager (GUI).
Passwords must adhere to the following security policy:
Must be eight characters to 16 characters in length
Cannot contain dictionary words
Cannot be any of the last 50 passwords
Note: The system retains recent passwords for one year.
Must contain at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, one numeric character, and one special character
If you forget the Primary
system administrator password, you can reset it using one of the following methods:
Use an Administrator 1 account, if one exists, to reset the password. The Primary Administrator and administrators who are assigned to the Administrator 1 role can change the password of any customer-defined administrator account without knowing the previous password. A Support administrator cannot reset the Primary Administrator password.
Click Forgot password on the Login screen and follow the instructions in the Forgot Password dialog. You must have an email address associated with your account. The system sends a password reset token to the email address associated with your account. If you receive an email with a password reset token and you did not request a password reset token, notify your system administrator.
To reset your Primary Administrator password, use one of the following methods:

Click Reset password on the Login screen and follow the instructions in the Reset Password dialog. You must have either your old password or your password token to reset your password. If you do not have your password token, click Forgot password on the Login screen and follow the instructions in the Forgot Password dialog.Note: The Forgot password mechanism requires that an email account has been configured for the account for which the password has been forgotten. The system sends the instructions to that email address. Follow the instructions recorded in that email.
