Modify Controller, Components Tab

Navigation: System > Hardware > Controllers > Actions > Modify > Components

Displays the status of the selected Controller and the components.

If there is a hardware failure, select the component and click Replace Component. Oracle FS System Manager (GUI) starts Guided Maintenance. Guided Maintenance presents you with a sequence of dialogs that guides you through the process of replacing a component.

Comment
Allows you to enter descriptive text that is associated with a Controller. A comment can include up to 256 characters.
Identifier

Displays the World Wide Number (WWN) associated with a Controller.

Memory

Displays the amount of random access memory (RAM) provided by the DIMMs configured in the Controller.

Model

Displays the model number of the Controller.

Replaceable Unit

Lists the Controller components that are replaceable through Guided Maintenance. Select a component, and then click Replace Component to start Guided Maintenance.

Note: For fan replacement, the Replaceable Unit list displays the names of each fan. Each power supply contains one fan, and each fan module contains two fans. If a fan fails in a power supply, replace the power supply. If a fan fails in a fan module, replace the fan module. The following list identifies the names of the fans and the corresponding customer replaceable unit (CRU).

Status

Displays the current status of a hardware component. A status of Normal requires no action.
