Create an Associated Host Entry

When you do not have Oracle FS Path Manager (FSPM) installed on the SAN host system, you create associated host entries by associating one or more initiators to a named host entry.

Associate initiators to a host when the Host overview page lists that host in one of the following manners:
  • Unknown state

  • By a world wide name (WWN) for FC initiators

  1. Navigate to SAN > Storage > Hosts.
  2. Select Actions > Associate Hosts.
    The Associate Hosts dialog appears.
  3. Specify the name of the host in the Host Name field.
  4. Select the initiators from the Create Association list.
    Valid methods:
    • Select the initiators from the discovered WWN name list.
    • Enter a WWN of an initiator on the SAN network.
  5. To associate the initiators to the host entry, click Add.
The selected initiator moves to the Associations table.
  6. Continue adding initiators to the Associations table, as necessary.
  7. (Optional) To remove an entry from the Associations table, select the item and then click Remove.
  8. Click OK.

The Host overview page displays the host entry name with the desired associated initiators.
