Create a Clone LUN Schedule

When you create a LUN, you can also create a schedule that instructs the system to clone your LUN at regular intervals.

Note: A schedule should be synchronized with the host applications that access the logical volume so that all data I/O is quieted before the replication operation starts.
  1. Navigate to SAN > Storage > LUNs.
  2. Select Actions > Create LUN.
  3. From the Data Protection tab, select the Enable Clones option.
  4. To display the Create Job Schedule dialog, click Create.
  5. Enter a Schedule Name.
  6. (Optional) To start protecting your data at the scheduled time, select Enabled.
If you do not enable the schedule now, you can do so later by modifying the schedule.
  7. From the Select a Volume to Protect table, select a LUN from which to create the Clone LUN.
Note: Select a volume that has allocated capacity for clones.
  8. Click the expansion button to the right of Start Time and select the starting day and time for your schedule.
  9. To select the date and time, use the Modify Date/Time controls.
  10. To close the Modify Date/Time dialog, click OK.
  11. Select a repeat interval for the schedule.
  12. Select a frequency value for the schedule.
    Valid frequencies:
    • Run Once

    • Days

    • Hours

    • Months

    • Weeks

If you chose a frequency of Weeks, select the day of the week that you would like the schedule to run.
  13. Click OK.
The schedule is listed on the Clone Schedules table and the Clone Schedules overview page.
