Recipe Method

The Recipe method is used for defining the detail level or menu item level requirements. Whenever a particular requirement is dependent on the time required for preparing a menu item (e.g. - requirement for a cook), the Recipe method is used.

For example, if it takes 90 seconds to prepare a pizza and the forecast value of sales is 250 pizzas, the location needs (90 multiplied by 250) 22500 seconds of labor efforts. Therefore, for every 15 minutes, the location requires 375 minutes of labor efforts. This translates to a staff requirement of 25 laborers to generate 375 minutes of labor work during 15 minutes.
