ProvisioningData Job

The ProvisioningData job loads provisioning data from a pipe-delimited input file that you create. You must run the ProvisioningData job before loading the associated billing data. The provisioning data input file must contain information about companies, accounts, and service agreements that were newly created, updated, or removed since the billing start date. The job updates or builds hierarchies as needed for these objects.

CAUTION:  Load provisioning data before loading the billing data. If the provisioning data does not exist, the billing data load will fail on missing objects. Load multiple input files in chronological order.

The ProvisioningData job provides a batch load alternative to loading object data in real-time using REST Web Service APIs. For more information about creating the input file and the general process of loading billing data in Oracle Billing Insight, see Loading Billing Data Into Oracle Billing Insight.

The ProvisioningData job processes one record in the file as one transaction. If an error occurs, then the the successfully processed records are not rolled back, and the task continues and logs the problem row number.

You can use multiple input files when running the ProvisioningData job, however, it is critical to run them in chronological order, or the job will fail on missing objects. The ProvisioningData job processes oldest files first.
