Setting Checks with Items on Hold to End Current Service Round

  1. In the EMC, select the property, click Configuration and Tender/Media.
  2. Insert a Hold Service Total tender record if it does not exist.
  3. Double-click the record to open it.
  4. On the General tab, in the Key Type field, select 2 - Service Total.
  5. Select the Options tab, and the Ops Behavior sub-tab.
  6. Select a Hold Type for the service total tender. The Hold Type is used with Hold and Fire to establish the order device output instruction for menu items on the guest check. The following options are available.
    • 1 - Hold Order – Holds the entire guest check.

    • 2 - Keep Held Status – Sends all items to the order device except those on hold.

    • 3 - Fire Order – Sends all menu items, including items on hold, to order devices. Items that you configure to send at a preset time are exempt from this service total type.

  7. Repeat Steps 2 through 6 to configure remaining hold service total tenders (for example, Transaction Hold, Timed Fire, and View Fire Times).
  8. Click Save.
  9. Add touchscreen buttons for the tender/media records that you created in Step 2. Workstation Touchscreen Pages contains more information about configuring touchscreen buttons (for example, Hold, Transaction Hold, Timed Fire, and View Fire Times).
