BizTalk Server

The Microsoft BizTalk Server 2000 is a universally deployable, internet-oriented document infrastructure for messages of all kinds. It is qualified for receiving, routing and sending electronic documents in every format with every virtual protocol. BizTalk supports XML, UN/EDIFACT and ANSI X12 formats. Further formats can be integrated without problems. The BizTalk server communication allows conversion of documents of any format to any other format automatically.


Currently, only a supplier order via BizTalk server is possible in the MICROS Retail OSCAR POS application.

The following requirements have to be met for the communication of the MICROS Retail OSCAR POS application with a BizTalk server:

Software:

In the file ../oscar.ini, the local directory in which the XML files are provided for the BizTalk server import must be specified by the environment variable "MICROS Retail OSCAR POS_XMLOUTDIR=".

The configuration of the BizTalk server is carried out by starting the following FGL file:

  1. Activate the option Ordervia BizTalk in the update program Supplier
  2. Create a supplier order
  3. Click on the button . Now the XML file for the BizTalk server import will be provided in the local directory C:\outdir\.
