Update Euro

Every time you want to use the Euro as a “second payment type” or for conversion purposes, you have to create a payment type "Euro". The procedure will be described in the following.

Note:

• If you want to configure the Euro in addition as a non-cash payment type (e.g. Eurocheque in Euro), go to (Domestic Currency is EMU Currency) or (Domestic Currency is non-EMU Currency) for further help.

The Euro as a payment type for the conversion into other currencies or as a 2^nd payment type:

1. Open the window Payment Types
• Enter a free payment type number.
• Enter a Name, e.g. "EURO".
• Select the "EURO currency" EURO.
• The field "Euro exchange rate" displays automatically the "1". The value is predefined and cannot be edited. There are no entries required in the window Exchange rate.
• Select the "Category" Foreign currency.
• Currency symbol: EUR.
• Currency Unit: 1
• Decimal digits: 2
• "Need declare entry" must not be activated.
• Save your entries.
2. Open the window Payment parameter:
• Assign a terminal type.
• Close the window and save your entries in the window “Payment type”.
3. Open the window Company:
• Enter the number with which you created the Euro in the field "2nd payment type".
• Save your entries.
