The
online help texts translated into the new language will be copied to the
directory help.<Name of Language>. The correct name of the language can
be found in the window Languages.
Attention!
- If changes have been made (translation of: mask
texts, online help etc.), you have to inform the development department in
Berlin. Only by this, you can make sure that the modifications will be
integrated into the MICROS Retail OSCAR POS standard application and that they will be
included in the next release / update.
Procedure:
- With a first installation of a language in UNIX,
a software link must be established. Proceed as follows (make sure the
spelling is correct; case-sensitive!!):
- Close the MICROS Retail OSCAR POS application.
- Sign on as Root: su root. Usually, the root
password will be queried subsequently. Enter it.
- Enter the directory scohelp by use of the
command cd
/usr/lib/scohelp.
- Check if there is already a link: l MICROS Retail OSCAR POSHelp.<Sprachenname>.
- If there is already a link, delete it by rm MICROS Retail OSCAR POSHelp.<Sprachenname>.
- Create a new link: ln -s
/usr/oscar/oscar.d/help.<Name of Language> MICROS Retail OSCAR POSHelp.<Name
of Language>.
- The creation of the software link is complete;
the help texts are embedded.
- In Windows NT, the files will be recognized
automatically if
- the language has been configured in the window Languages,
- the corresponding selection button is embedded
in the program dispatch
- and is activated by a click.
If
you select a different language in the program dispatch, the texts in this
language will only be displayed after ending the MICROS Retail OSCAR POS application (“End”)
and (automatically) restarting the MICROS Retail OSCAR POS database application.
