Order Type

When you run the program "Pre order create list", the following settings will be checked and evaluated.

In the stock data of the update program Item, the following order types are available for selection:

For every item, the minimum order quantity decides if the item is to be included in the order suggestion list or not. The minimum order quantity is to be defined in the update program Supplier Item.

  • Nothing
    When an     Order Suggestion is generated, the minimum and maximum quantities in the assigned stock will not be considered.
  • Order by Max
    With an order suggestion, the assigned stock will be checked. If the quantity in stock has fallen below the defined maximum value, the quantity necessary to restore the maximum quantity will be ordered, depending on the minimum order quantity of the supplier.

    Maximum = 100
    Minimum = 30
    Quantity in Stock 80
    Order Quantity = 20

    Order by Maximum with Minimum Order Quantity
    Maximum = 100
    Minimum = 30
    Min. Order Quantity = 30

    Order by Maximum with Minimum Order Quantity

  • Order by Min
    With an order suggestion, the assigned stock will be checked. If the quantity in stock has fallen below the defined minimum value, the quantity necessary to restore the maximum quantity will be ordered, depending on the minimum order quantity of the supplier.

The minimum order quantity of the supplier will be ignored if (like in the last example) the quantity in stock has fallen below the minimum value for orders.

  • Order by Days
    With an order suggestion, the order quantity for the item request for 7 days will be determined according to the goods consumption during the previous 30 days.

    Outgoing Stock = 100
    Stock Movement = 100
    Lost Inventory = 10
    Shrinkage = 20
    Sales 2770
    Total outgoing Goods from Stock = 3000

    The item request for 7 days is to be calculated as follows:

    3000 / 30 x 7 = 700
