SCO Interface (ITAB)
The SCO-Interface (SCO = SelfCheckOut) of MICROS Retail OSCAR POS, allows the communication with the ITAB Self-Check-Out system.
Note:
The the environment variable "OSCAR_OPTIONS= SelfCheckOut" in the file "oscar.ini" is is a prerequisite for this functionality.
After changing the environment variable "OSCAR_OPTIONS=" the following commands must be executed to ensure that the changes are activated in MICROS Retail OSCAR POS.
- Oscar convert
- oscar addAscFiles
- oscar init UiText
- oscar init DbText
- oscar dofgl.fgl Language.
For test purposes the variable "SCODEBUG=Y" can be set in the file "oscar.ini".
SCO configuration
The following parameter has to be set for the communication of the ITAB Self-Check-Out system with MICROS Retail OSCAR POS:
- Terminal
Configure the terminal which will be used for the communication of the ITAB Self-Check-Out system with MICROS Retail OSCAR POS. - SCO configuration
Assignment of a SCO parameter set to the terminal. - TCP communication
For the communication of MICROS Retail OSCAR POS with the ITAB Self-Check-Out System, a device from type Protocol -> TCP communication has to be assigned to the process unit of the terminal. - FGL variables
All variables defined within FGL will suspend system variables:
FGL variables
All variables can be defined within FGL scripts and will suspend system variables.
The FGL variables are using the prefix
"ITAB_" followed by the variable name.
e. g,
Variable name: SI_MODEL
FGL Variable: ITAB_SI_MODEL
The variables can be set in the file
..\fgluser\KassePara.fgl or in the program Terminal -> Add. data ->
"Terminal (POS)
FGL Parameter".
The FGL-Script ..fgl/KasseInitGlobals.fgl contains already the project variables
for "Legoland".

Terminal
- Application
-> Organisation -> Terminal .
The terminal must be run in "Itemizing mode", that means the assigned Terminal type has to be configured as follow: - Organisation -> Terminal
-> Terminal type

- Application
-> Organisation -> Terminal -> Add data -> Printer table

SCO configuration
Enter the number of the assigned parameter set in the field "SCO configuration".
- Application -> Organisation -> Terminal -> Add. data -> SCO configuration.
- Select the parameter type "ITAB Scan
Flow" and assign the SCO Payment mapping table.
- Terminal
-> Add. data -> SCO configuration -> SCO Payment mapping -> SCO payment mapping position.
In this table the assignment of the MICROS Retail OSCAR POS payment types to the payment types of the ITAB Self-Check-Out Systems has to be defined..
The numbers of the ITAB payments are fixed (1 = TM_BANK, 2 = TM_CASH)
Communikations-Protocol
For the communication of MICROS Retail OSCAR POS with the ITAB Self-Check-Out System, a device from type Protocol -> TCP communication has to be assigned to the process unit of the terminal
- System -> Configuration -> Device
