Remarks on program function

By use of this program, you can create a quantity request for a defined item in a stock locations of certain branches. Optionally a quantity request for a defined item to different criteria like "Branch goup", "Country", "Concept", "Region" and "Organisation" can be created. A combination of seletion criterions are also possible.

the actual start of the quantity request is done via the buttons "New request" or via the button "Alternative request".

Note:

By use of the program Application -> Stock -> Quantity request, the quantity in stock for a certain item of a certain or different branches can be determined.

The procedure is as follows for setting up the parameters for a quatity request:

Application -> Branch -> Quantity request
Add the branch which should be able to accept a quantity request.
Application -> Branch -> Stock location
Activate the option "For item request.", for each stock location of the branch which should be able to accept a quantity request..
Application -> Stock -> Quantity request
By use of this program, you can create a quantity request for a defined item in stock locations of certain branches.

Remarks on data fields

The descriptions below apply to all options available for update of this Basic data.

The following applies to nearly all other programs:

The entry mask for this program in your MICROS Retail OSCAR POS version may differ depending on the definitions in the user program. Some data fields may be missing.
Some data fields may also have value or selection option defaults programmed and these cannot be altered in the current program.
The entry mask shows fields where entries have to be made, but in other fields entries are optional.
If the data record is updated through several pages of entry masks, the dialog window is reached by clicking onto the appropriate buttons with <Mouse key 1>.
The same procedure applies if you want to call up this program from another update program.
In some cases you will find so-called "Switches" with defaults which can either be activated or de-activated by clicking onto them with <Mouse key 1>. Activated switches are dark, de-activated switches are lighter.

Company

Entries permitted: numeric, 1 - 9999

Enter the number of the company for which the quantity request are to be revised.

Changes or clearing operations are carried out by calling up the data record with number entries in the key fields. The data record can also be selected via the search function.

Item

Entries permitted: numeric, 1 - 99999999

Enter the number of the item, for which the the quantity request should be performed.

If you do not know the number, you can select the item via the Search function.

Branch

Entries permitted: numeric, 1 - 9999

Enter the number of the branch, for which the the quantity request should be performed. If you do not know the number, you can select the item via the Search function.

Note:
Do not enter the number of the branch if a new quantity request should be performed. The number of branches for which the quantity request should be performed will only be determined by the entries in program Application -> Organisation -> Branch Quantity request.

Date

Entry range permitted:DDMMYYYY (day, month, year)

Date on which the quantity request has benis stored in the system.

Time

Entry range permitted: HHMMSS (hour, minute, second)

Time at which the quantity request has been stored in the system.

Quantity

Entry range permitted: decimal, max. 5 pos.with max. 2 decimal places

The value in this field will display the stock quantity from all stock locations of a branch in the corresponding base unit. If there are customer reservations stored in the system for this item, th equantity will be reduced by this value (see -> Stock item state -> "Customer qu. in order").

Only positiv values will be displayed in this field, if the sum of all values from all stock locations of a branch is negativ, no quantity will be displayed.

Note:
Please note, that only stock locations are considered for which the option "For item request" is activated in program Application -> Organisation -> Branch Stock location.

Online

The Online-/Offline state for this quantity request will be are marked by colours.

GREEN = The branch was online during the quantity request and the stock quantity has been examined.

RED = The branch was offline during the quantity request and the stock quantity are not beeing examined.

Branch grp.

Entries permitted: numeric, 1 - 99

Enter the number of the branch group, for which the assigned branches a quantity request should be performed.
