Remarks on program function

The data of customers in the MICROS Retail OSCAR POS Internet shop are updated, i.e. programmed, changed or cleared, with this program. Data which has already been stored can also be displayed for information.

The data of new customers, i.e. those who place an order in the MICROS Retail OSCAR POS Internet shop for the first time, should be imported into the MICROS Retail OSCAR POS database with program Shop administration, button "Customers/orders from shop" before they can be updated in this program.

Remarks on data fields

The following description deals with all available operations for update of this basic data.

As with nearly all programs the following also applies here:

The entry mask for this program may differ in your MICROS Retail OSCAR POS program. Some data fields may be missing.
There may be defaults or firmly defined selection options for some data fields. These cannot be updated in the current program.
Fields with enforced entry defined are to be found in the entry masks as are fields where entry is optional.
If the data record is updated over several pages of entry masks, the dialog window is reached by clicking onto the appropriate button with <Mouse key 1>.
The same procedure also applies to call up of another update program from this program.
In some cases you may find so-called "Switches" which are activated or deactivated by the user with <Mouse key 1>, depending on the setting. Activated switches have a dark top, deactivated switches are lighter.

Company

Entry range permitted: numeric 1 - 9999

Enter the number of the company to which the Internet shop customer is to be linked. The name of the company is shown on the right-hand side of the screen. A company number entry is imperative.

If the number is not known, the data record can be selected with Search.

Shop no.

Entry range permitted: numeric 1 - 99999

Enter the number of the Internet shop.

Customer no.

Entry range permitted: numeric 1 - 999999999

Enter the number of the customer for which the data is to be processed. If the number is not known, the data record can be selected with Search.

Customer no. (shop)

Entry range permitted: alphanumeric max. 32 pos.

Internal customer no. as generated in the MICROS Retail OSCAR POS Web shop.

Password

Entry range permitted: alphanumeric max. 32 pos.

Password of the customer as entered in the MICROS Retail OSCAR POS Web shop.

Creation date

Entry range permitted: DDMMYYYY (day, month, year)

Date the customer was created in the MICROS Retail OSCAR POS Web shop.

Creation time

Entry range permitted: HHMMSS (hour, minute, seconds)

Time the customer was created in the MICROS Retail OSCAR POS Web shop.

Shop customer price

Switch active: Special customer prices apply to orders in the MICROS Retail OSCAR POS Web shop for this customer.
Switch deactivated: No special prices apply to orders in the MICROS Retail OSCAR POS Web shop.

Note:
If special prices are to apply to orders in the MICROS Retail OSCAR POS Web shop for certain customers, a special price level should be linked in field Customer price level in program Shop administration -> Add.data. This option should then be activated for all customers for whom this special price level is to apply.

The prices linked in field Normal price level apply to those customers for whom the option Shop customer price has been deactivated in program Web shop customers.
