Remarks on program function

Update basic data, i.e. programming, changing or clearing, is possible with this program. Data which has already been stored can be displayed for information.

Discounts in kind which the supplier grants as from a defined minimum purchase quantity are programmed here.

The following applies to all discounts:

• They apply to all articles purchased from the supplier.
• If the user changes to the appropriate discount program from program Supplier article, the discount only applies to the article shown on the screen. Please note: A discount programmed for an article has priority over a general article discount.

All types of discounting are handled in two steps:

1. Step 1: The formal data of a discount is programmed as a discount table (with discount table no. and name) and is linked to the supplier.
   
   The following programs are available:
• Discount perc.discount on quantity
• Discount perc.discount on value
• Discount disc.on value on quantity
• Discount disc.on value as from value
• Discount disc.in kind on quantity
• Discount disc.in kind on value
2. Step 2: Programming of a discount, i.e. a discount no. is assigned and the discount (percentage, value, discount in kind) is defined together with the quantity/value as from which the discount is to be granted.
   
   This is programmed with:
• Discount perc.on quantity
• Discount perc.on value
• Discount val.on quantity
• Discount val. as from value
• Discount in kind on quantity
• Discount in kind on value

Remarks on data fields

The following description deals with all available options for update of this basic data.

As with nearly all programs the following also applies here:

• The entry mask for this program may differ in your MICROS Retail OSCAR POS program. Some data fields may be missing.
• There may be defaults or firmly defined selection options for some data fields. These cannot be updated in the current program.
• Fields with enforced entry defined are to be found in the entry masks as are fields where entry is optional.
• If the data record is updated over several pages of entry masks, the dialog window is reached by clicking onto the appropriate button with <Mouse key 1>.
• The same procedure also applies to call up of another update program from this program.
• In some cases you may find so-called "Switches" which are activated or deactivated by the user with <Mouse key 1>, depending on the setting. Activated switches have a dark top, deactivated switches are lighter.

Entry range permitted: numeric 1 - 9999

Select the number of the company which handles discout update.

If the number is not known, the data record can be selected with the search function.

Supplier no.

Entry range permitted: numeric 1 - 999999

Select the number of the supplier to whom the discount table is to be linked.

If the number is not known, the data record can be selected with the search function.

Discount table

Entry range permitted: numeric 1 - 99

Enter the number of the discount table in which discounts are to be entered.

Enter a free no. if a new discount table is to be programmed. Changes or clear operations are possible from entry of the number of the appropriate discount table.

Several discount tables per supplier are permitted.

Name

Entry range permitted: alphanumeric max. 20 pos.

Enter the name of the discount table in this field. The name should be informative.
