The program description deals with the following:


Remarks on program function

The data for a G&D-Winkel EFT device can be updated, i.e. programmed, changed or cleared, with this program. Data which has already been stored can also be displayed for information.

EFT devices are required for payments by magnetic cards.

The interface and link to a processing unit should be defined and the device-specific operating mode of the EFT device set.

Baudrate

Please note that the baud rate permitted must match up with the setting of the connected EFT terminal.


Debug

Note:
Only select a value higher than "0" for the debug level if a communications protocol is required for error analysis. The details can be found in file "errlog" in directory work of the appropriate system unit.


EFT type

Field with firmly defined selection options

Select one of the EFT types offered by clicking onto this field and with a second click confirming the selection.

The system offers the following EFT types:


Ack timeout

Entry range permitted: numeric

Default = 600 milliseconds


Request timeout

Entry range permitted: numeric

Default = 10000 milliseconds

Enter a value in milliseconds to define the intervals at which the EFT must respond after a status call up. The error message EFT offline is sent if the response is negative.


Busy timeout

Entry range permitted: numeric

Default = 2000 milliseconds


Password

Entry range permitted: alphanumeric max. 6 chars.

Enter the password in this field.


Usage

Entry range permitted: numeric 1 - 9

Enter 1 here not 0. A Payment type of category EFT should also be programmed. The EFT type and the payment type must be identical with the usage code entered here.


Local currency

Entry range permitted: numeric 1 - 999

The code for the local currency should be entered in this field. The default is 978 for Euro.


Usage printer

Switch active: Slip printer of EFT terminal is used
Switch deactivated: POS printer used as slip printer


Req.status info

Switch active:. Additional status information is provided in customer display
Switch deactivated: No status information shown in customer display


No control admin

Switch active: No administration functions possible on EFT terminal
Switch deactivated: Administration functions possible on EFT terminal


Currency

Switch active: The terminal sends the currency code set
Switch deactivated: The terminal sends no currency code
