Orderman

The program description deals with the following:

Remarks on program function

The data for connection of radio-controlled terminals, type Orderman Leo und Orderman SOL can be updated, i.e. programmed, changed or cleared, with this program. Data which already exists can also be displayed for information.

Note:
This device contains the functionality from the device
Radio Terminal. For new installations the device type Radio Terminal should not be used anymore , because mixed operation mode with the Orderman type "Sol" are not supported.

Radio-controlled terminals are operated on a base unit connected up to the System unit, i.e. all radio-controlled terminals are linked to the same interface (COM 1, COM 2, etc.) as the base unit is connected to the system unit.

A processing unit is reserved for each radio-controlled terminal and this allows the device to be used as a remote unit.

Remarks on data fields

The following description deals with all available options for update of this basic data.

As with nearly all other programs the following also applies here:

Debug

Field with firmly defined selection options

Select one of the offered debug levels by clicking on this field and with a second click selecting the level required.

The system offers the following:

Note:
Only select a value higher than "0" for the debug level if a protocol for communication of the device is necessary for error analysis.

Adress

Entry range permitted: numeric 1 - 9999

Enter the address (serial number) of the radio terminal in this field.

Note:

You find the serial number of Orderman when you click on Get more icons and then [about]. This item displays the serial Number of the device. Examp:17419. If you use more than one Orderman device please enter the host name of Oscar server in each Orderman device

How to edit Oscar server host name on Orderman:

Note:
This address number will be also used for the folder name of the Orderman recources ..\oscar\Hermes [Adresse]. This folder will keep the resources of the Orderman device which will be checked during each start of Oscar. The resources in this directory will be send to the Orderman when they have changed

Baudrate

Field with firmly defined selection options

Select one of the offered baud rates by clicking onto this field and with a second click confirming the selection.

The system offers the following baud rates:

Type

Field with firmly defined selection options

Select one of the offered radio-controlled terminal types by clicking onto this field and with a second click confirming the selection.

The system offers the following:

Debug TCP-Data

Switch activated: Additional debug data  for error analysis are written to the file "errlog".
Switch deactivated: No additional debug data for error analysis are written to the file "errlog".

Debug UDP-Data

Switch activated: Additional debug data for error analysis are written to the file "errlog".
Switch deactivated: No additional debug data for error analysis are written to the file "errlog".

Debug RF data

Switch activated: Additional debug data  for error analysis are written to the file "errlog".

Switch deactivated: No additional debug data for error analysis are written to the file "errlog".

Keyboard no.

Entry range permitted: numeric 1 - 9999

Enter the number of the Keyboard which is to be/has been linked to this device.

If the number is not known, the data record can be selected with Search.

Note:
The assignment of an keyboard is only for the type "Ordermann Leo" necessary.

Usage display

Field with firmly defined selection options

Select one of the offered modes by clicking onto this field and with a second click confirming the selection.

The system offers the following types of operation:

Note:
The assignment of an display is only for the type "Ordermann Leo" necessary.

No. Lines

Entry range permitted: numeric, default = 2

Enter the number of lines the display supports.

Note:
Entries in this field are only necessary for type "Ordermann Leo".

No. Char./Line

Entry range permitted: numeric, default = 20

Enter the number of characters supported by this display.

Note:
Entries in this field are only necessary for type "Ordermann Leo".

Input line length

Entry range permitted: numeric, default = 0

This parameter is only required for Orderman, type B.

UDP Broadcast-Port

Entry range permitted: numeric, 1 - 99999

Default = 25000

This port number will be used to receive UDP-Broadcast-Messages from the Orderman service-station via TCP connection. The default value of 25000 is also the default value of the Orderman device.

Note:
The UDP broadcast port must be deallocated in the firewall of the operating system.

Request timeout

Entry range permitted: numeric, 1 - 99999

Default = 5000

This value determines for how long the transmitted IP-address by the "HELLO_HOST-Message" is valid. The corresponding service station must answer the "HELLO_CLIENT-answer" during this time with a "GO-Message". Otherwise the corresponding IP-Address of the Orderman device will be lost and the connection will not continue.

Path prefix

Entry range permitted: alphanumeric, max. 20 pos.

Prefix for the path where the folder "data" exist for the Orderman upload data. Each Orderman device has an own folder with a name composed of the path prefix and the address. When the prefix is ../hermes and the address is 12345 the folder data must exist in the folder ../hermes12345. Depending of the upload a checksum file will be created automatically. The upload will be done automatically after turn on of the service station.

All resources of Orderman are located in <oscar> \ HermesResources \ ...

The Orderman surface definitions are saved in the folders:

"<oscar> \ HermesResources \ res \ forms \ (default) \ 0001" - German surface

"<oscar> \ HermesResources \ res \ forms \ (default) \ 0002" - English surface

The number of the file corresponds to the Oscar-Language number each device is automatically created in directory <oscar> \ Hermes [number of Orderman Device]. The checksum file will be generated in the same directory.

The decision for an upload will be done as follow:

Attention!

The Orderman device must be placed in the cradle connected to the network, for loading this data. Loading this data via a radio connection is not possible.

Output delay

Entry range permitted: numeric, 1 - 999

Default = 100 milliseconds
