Inventory Position
This program description consists of the following:

Description of the Program Function
With this program you can enter the controlled stock quantities in the previously prepared inventory sheet or insert the desired stock quantities to a new inventory sheet if you are doing direct stock taking. You can create new data, change or delete the existing one accordingly. You can also display the data on the screen for enquiry only.

Description of the Data Fields
In the following description all available options for maintaining the basic data are described.
As in most other programs, the following also applies here:
- According to the individual installation of the application program, the input mask for this program in your MICROS Retail OSCAR POS system can be different, some data fields may be missing.
- Some data fields may have default values that cannot be changed in the current program.
- In the input mask, some fields are mandatory and some are optional.
- If the record to be maintained is having more than one screen, the desired dialog window can be branched to by clicking the appropriate button using the mouse.
- The same can be carried out to call another maintenance program from this program.
- Under certain circumstances there are also "on/off buttons", according to the setup, that can be activated or deactivated by the user by clicking with the mouse. Activated buttons are highlighted and the deactivated ones are dark.
Item
Permitted input range: decimal, max. 14 digits
Enter the number of the stock item for which the inventory is to be recorded. If the number is not known, the data record can be selected with Search.
Quantity
Permitted input range: decimal, max. 13 digits with max. 2 decimal digits
Enter the quantity counted for this article in this field. After finalisation of this program the changes should be saved. The new stock values are transferred to the appropriate stores after recording in program Inventory (see Update programs Stock item status).
Quantity unit
Permitted input range: numeric, 1 - 99
Enter the number of the quantity unit for this stock item. If the number is not known, the data record can be selected with Search.
