The data for the valid Miles & More parameter can be updated in this program. Data which already exists can be displayed for information.

With this program you can maintain the calculation of miles depending of the turnover.

Remarks on the Input Fields

This paragraph will provide a short overview over the options available for updating these Basic Data.

Just like in almost any other program:

The Input Mask may be different in your MICROS Retail OSCAR POS program depending on the set-up of the application. In some cases some Data Fields may be missing.
Some input fields may contain default values or defined selection options; these cannot be updated.
The input mask contains some fields that require an entry and others in which entries are optional.
If the data record is updated via multi-page input masks, go to the Dialog Window by clicking on the appropriate buttons with <Mouse key 1>.
The same procedure applies to call up another update program from this program.
In some cases you may find that so-called "Switches" which - depending on the default - can be activated or deactivated with <Mouse key 1>. Activated switches are identified by their dark color, deactivated switches are lighter-colored.

Company

Permitted input range: numeric, 1 - 9999

Enter the number of the company for which the defined Miles & More parameter are to be valid. If you do not know the number, you can also select the data record via the Search Function.

Country

Permitted input range: numeric, 1 – 99999

Enter the number of the country for which the defined Miles & More parameter are to be valid. If you do not know the number, you can also select the data record via the Search Function.

Descriptor

Entry range permitted: alphanumeric max. 20 pos.

Enter the name of the item in this field. There are no restrictions for the name.

Award Code

Entry range permitted: alphanumeric max. 10 pos.

Enter the name of the Award Code in this field.

Internet address Miles&More Server …

Entry range permitted: alphanumeric max. 255 pos.

Enter the internet address (URL) in this field, for the communication with the miles a& more server.

Note:

The prerequisite for an online request to the miles & more server is, that the calculated receipt turnover reaches the predetermined value for the "Minimum of miles pay".

Example:

In field "Minimum of miles pay" the value of 7500 miles is specified.
In field "Miles", the value 330 miles is specified.
That means, the minimum turnover of € 22,73 d.h. (7500 / 330) must be reaches to be able to activate an online request to the miles and more server.

User Login Miles&More Server

Entry range permitted: alphanumeric max. 20 pos.

Enter the user name for the login to the miles a& more server.

Passwort Miles&More Server

Entry range permitted: alphanumeric max. 20 pos.

Enter the password for the login to the miles a& more server.

Turnover

Permitted input range: numeric, 1 – 9999999999

Enter in this field a value to determine the turnover for the credit of miles.

Example:

In field "Turnover" the value 1 is specified.
In field "Miles" the value 1 is specified.
That means, for a turnover of € 1 a credit note of 1 mile will be given.

Miles (collecting miles)

Permitted input range: numeric, 1 – 9999999999

Enter in this field a value to determine the miles given per turnover.

Example:

In field "Turnover" the value 1 is specified.
In field "Miles" the value 1 is specified.
That means, for a turnover of € 1 a credit note of 1 mile will be given.

Minimum turnover coll

Permitted input range: numeric, 1 – 9999999999

Enter in this field a value to determine the minimum turnover for miles to collect.

Example:

In field "Turnover" the value 1 is specified.
In field "Miles" the value 1 is specified.
In field "minimu turnover collect" the value 30 is specified.
If the receipt turnover is € 29,00, no credit note of miles will be given..
If the receipt turnover is € 35,50, a credit note of 35 miles will be given.

The calculation for give miles effected after deduction of discounts and promotions. The calculation of given miles also take account of departments excluded from turnover.

Miles (cash in miles)

Entry range permitted: numeric, 1 - 9999999999

The customer can collect miles for items (except the items of departments excluded from turnover) and then redeem them during the next purchase.

Depending of the specified values in the fiels (Miles, Turnover and Minimum of miles pay) the customer is able to pay with collected miles.

Example:

In field "Miles" the value 330 is specified.
In field "Turnover" the value 1 is specified.
In field "Minimum of miles pay" the value 7500 is specified.
Tha means for a turnover of € 1 an amount of 330 miles must be redeemed.
With the value 7500 in field "Minimum of miles pay" it is determined that a minimum of € 22,73 must be redeemed
That means, if the receipt turnover does not exceeded the determined value of the field "Minimum of miles pay" the till does not accept to pay with miles.

Turnover

Entry range permitted: numeric, 1 - 9999999999

Enter in this field a value to determine turnover for the redemption of miles.

Example:

In field "Miles" the value 330 is specified.
In field "Turnover" the value 1 is specified.
That means a turnover of € 1 needs 330 miles to redeeem.

Minimum of miles pay)

Enter in this field a value to determine the minimum amount of miles to redeem.

Example:

In field "Miles" the value 330 is specified.
In field "Turnover" the value 1 is specified.
In field "Minimum of miles pay", the value 7500 is specified.
That means for a turnover of € 1 a redemption of 330 miles are necessary.
With the value of 7500 in field "Minimum of miles pay" it is specified that a minimum of 7500 miles (7500 / 330 = 22,73) has to be redeemed. That means, if the receipt turnover does not exceeded the determined value of the field "Minimum of miles pay" the till does not accept to pay with miles.
