Button: New Shift

A maximum of 3 shifts per daily accounting period is permitted in the MICROS Retail OSCAR POS program. After the third shift has been reached any further shift switches will be rejected with the appropriate error message. The shift switch at the terminal is completed with event <NEXTSHIFT>.

Program Branch:

• The current shift on branch level is exited from a click on this button. A new shift is then opened, but only after the first recording has been made. The shifts of all subordinate profit centers and terminals are also closed. The current shfit no. of the branch concerned can be found in program Application n-> Organisation -> Branch, button "Branch state".

Program Profit Center:

• The current shift of the selected profit center and the subordinate terminals is ended from a click on this button. The new shift is opened with the next recording. If the shifts of all profit centers and terminals is to be closed use the button with the same  name in window Branch. The current shift no. of the profit center concerned can be called up from program Application -> Organisation -> Profit center, button "Profit center state".

Program Terminal

• The current shift of the selected terminal is ended from a click on this button. The new shift is opened with the next recording. If the shifts of all teminals are to be ended click on the button with the same name in window Profit center. The current shift no. of the terminal concerned is shown in program Application -> Organisation -> Terminal in field Shift no..
