Euro
Conversion
The
following table contains information on how currencies are to be converted and
in which window the exchange rate has to be entered.
Generally:
- The exchange rates of foreign EMU countries’
currencies (European Monetary Union) are to be determined in the window Payment Type (predefined by the MICROS Retail OSCAR POS
application).
- If one of the currencies is an EMU currency, the
conversion will take place via the EURO (dom. curr. -> Euro ->
foreign curr.). A direct conversion is only possible with currencies of
non-EMU countries (Foreign curr.-> foreign curr., cp example. 4).
- As soon as you create a single EMU currency in
your MICROS Retail OSCAR POS application, the exchange rate in Euro must be defined in
the window “Payment Type” – even if your domestic currency is not an EMU
currency.
*
1 unit of the domestic currency converted into Euro (Field EURO exchange rate)
** 1 unit of the foreign currency converted into Euro (Field EURO exchange
rate)
*** The exchange rate of the foreign currency is updated in the window
"Exchange Rate".
