Guidelines for choosing a password
Oracle recommends the following guidelines for choosing a password.
Passwords should contain:
- A minimum of eight characters.
- At least one upper-case character, and at least one number or non-alphanumeric character (special character).
Passwords should
not
contain:
- A common word, name, or any part of the user name.
- A word or name that can be easily guessed. For example, do not use the names of family members.
