Credit Card Driver Certificate Check

Credit Card Drivers in this release use an Online Certificate Status Protocol (OCSP) server to periodically check whether the server certificate has been revoked. The workstation performing the transaction must have access to the internet to communicate with the OCSP server, and you may need to add the following URL permissions to your firewall based on your credit card processor:

UCCD
  • http://ss.symcd.com

FDMS
  • http://ocsp.verisign.com

Heartland
  • http://s2.symcb.com

If transaction performance is impacted by the certificate checks, you can set the Certificate Mode option for each credit card driver to specify frequency.

  • If you set the value to 0, e7 performs the certificate check with each transaction.

  • If you set the value to 1, e7 performs the certificate check on the first transaction after the application starts, and then checks once per day.
