public final class RichHintLabel

extends javax.swing.JEditorPane

A component that can display rich (HTML-based) hint text, including hyperlinks which perform user actions.

To use this control, register your actions with the component using registerAction(String,Action). Set the text of the component using setHtmlText(String). The HTML text should include markup for links (anchors) using the action name prefixed by "http:", for example:

   This is some <a href="http:richAction">rich</a> text.

registerAction

Registers action for use in hyperlinks included in the text of this hint label.

This method will replace any existing action with the same id.

Parameters:

id - the id of the action. Any "http:" hyperlink in the HTML document will trigger the registered action.

action - an action to register.

Throws:

java.lang.NullPointerException - if action or id are null.

Unregisters an action from this hint label.

Parameters:

id - the id of the action to unregister.

setHtmlText

public void setHtmlText(@NotNull

Sets the HTML text of this hint component. The text should not be enclosed with "<html>...</html>".

Parameters:

htmlText - the text to set.

Throws:

java.lang.NullPointerException - if htmlText is null.

Note that there's no guarantee that the text you get back from this method will be the same as the text you passed in to setHtmlText(String). Extra HTML may have been added to the string.
