Cancelling Mass Reservations

The Mass Cancellation functionality allows you to cancel multiple reservations at the same time. You can use Mass Cancellation for reservations with the status of Arrival, Waitlist, or pre-registration.

Cancelling Mass Reservations from Quick Launch

To cancel multiple reservations:

Select Quick Launch on the menu line at the top of the application.
Select Mass Cancellation.
Enter a property name and select Search.
From search results, select multiple reservations, then select Mass Cancellation.
When the Cancel Reservations screen appears, enter a Cancel Reason and Description.
Enter a check on one or more of the following check boxes: Traces, Cancellation, Deposit, Share Reservations.
Select Cancel Now. A status screen appears.

The following OPERA Controls determine Mass Cancellation functionality:

In the Reservations group functions, set Reservation Traces to Active.
In the Reservations group functions, set Shares to Active
In the Cashiering functions, set Cancellation Handling to Active
In the Cashiering functions, set Cancel With a Deposit to Off

You must have the following task assigned to your role in Security:

Mass Cancellation in the Bookings group.
