Rate Code Protection

Prerequisites

Rate Code Protection allows a property to set an extra level of security for users who have the ability to edit rate code configurations. The Rate Code Protection screen displays the protection levels and an edit link.

Even though a user may have the ability to edit a rate code, Rate Code Protection allows a property to mark certain jumps or in some cases fields within a jump as "protected." When a jump or field is flagged as protected, only users with an override task have the ability to update the information in the selected jump or field.
