You can create external programs that interact with the Oracle VM Server for SPARC software by means of the Extensible Markup Language (XML) communication mechanism. XML uses the Extensible Messaging and Presence Protocol (XMPP). The XML interface only supports Transport Layer Security (TLS) protocol version 1.2.
An attacker might attempt to exploit this network protocol to access a system, so consider disabling XMPP. Disabling XMPP prevents Oracle VM Manager or Ops Center from managing the system and prevents you from using some key Oracle VM Server for SPARC features such as the following commands:

ldm remove-memory
ldm grow-socket
