About Visual Insight quick dashboards

A Visual Insight quick dashboard is a customized, interactive display that you can use to explore your business data. For example, you can sort and rearrange data in an interactive grid, perform manipulations on the data to display only the information you are interested in, and display visual representations of the data in the quick dashboard to make the data easier to interpret. Quick dashboards can be viewed in the Quick Dashboard Editor, in Presentation Mode, or on an iPad or Android tablet with XBR Ingenium Mobile. You can share a quick dashboard through e-mail, by linking to the quick dashboard, or by embedding the quick dashboard in a web page.

A quick dashboard displays data from one or more underlying datasets in a streamlined interface designed to allow you to explore your data quickly and easily. Visual representations of the data, called visualizations, are added by the designer of the quick dashboard and are stored in the quick dashboard's definition.

In order to view quick dashboards, you must have:

Analyst privileges
Edit Dashboard and Run Dashboard privileges

You can sort and pivot data in a visualization, filter your data by selecting attribute elements or metric values, display the data in interactive visualizations, quickly switch between different visual representations of the data, and so on.
