Media Properties dialog box

You can specify display options for a Media widget, such as the background color and whether to show a Play button, using the Media Properties dialog box.

The Media Properties dialog box contains the following tabs:

General tab

Play Frequency tab

General tab options

Content Type: Determine the content type that will display in the widget. You can display video, audio, web content (Flash only), or images (Flash only).

Default Feed: Specify the location of the content.

Use Proxy: Determine whether to use a proxy. This check box is selected by default.

Tooltip Text: Type the text that is displayed when an analyst hovers the cursor over the widget. This text can be used to identify the media in the widget.

Background Color: Select the background color of the widget.

Popup Content when Clicked: Determine whether to display the widget automatically or after clicking a button.

Display Content: Select whether the widget displays in a new window or in the existing window. Available if Popup Content when Clicked is selected.

Button Text: Type the text to display on the button. Available if Popup Content when Clicked is selected.

Play Frequency tab options

This tab is available only when the content type is video or audio.

Show Play Button Control: Determine whether to display the Play button in the widget. If the Play button is not displayed, the media cannot be controlled by the user. This check box is selected by default.

Auto Play on Start: Determine whether to play the feed data automatically. This check box is cleared by default.

Select either Play Once or Continuous Play from the drop-down list, to determine whether to play the feed data once or loop it continuously.

 

To access the Media Properties dialog box:

In Flash Mode or Interactive Mode, right-click the Media widget and select Properties. The Media dialog box opens.
