Formatting and Working with Quick Dashboards

Once you have created a quick dashboard, you can change the color theme in which the quick dashboard is displayed, arrange and size visualizations in the quick dashboard, and so on. The table below contains a list of tasks you can perform to format a quick dashboard, and steps to perform them.

 

Task Steps to Perform

Arrange a visualization in the quick dashboard

There must be at least two visualizations in the quick dashboard.

  1. Click the name of the quick dashboard to run it.

  2. If the visualization's title bar is not displayed, hover the cursor over the visualization and click the arrow icon in the top right, then select Show Title Bar.

  3. Click the visualization's title bar and drag it to its new location in the quick dashboard.

Size a text field or visualization in the quick dashboard

  1. Click the name of the quick dashboard to run it.

  2. Click and drag the edges of the text field or visualization to size it.

Maximize a visualization to fit the entire visualization area, or restore the visualization to its default size

  1. Click the name of the quick dashboard to run it.

  2. Do one of the following:

    • To maximize the display of the visualization, hover the cursor over the visualization, then click the arrow icon in the top right. A list of options is displayed. Select Maximize.

    • To restore the visualization to its default size, hover the cursor over the visualization, then click the arrow icon in the top right. A list of options is displayed. Select Restore.

Specify a color theme to use to display the quick dashboard

  1. Click the name of the quick dashboard to run it.

  2. From the Tools menu, point to Theme, then select the color theme you want to use to display the quick dashboard. The options are:

    • Dark

    • Light
