Adding, Duplicating, Renaming, and Deleting Layouts in a Quick Dashboard

You can create a ”book” of data in a quick dashboard using layouts. Users can quickly switch between each layout in a quick dashboard by clicking the different layout tabs, much like turning the pages in a book. Each layout has its own grouping and filtering options, independent of other layouts in the quick dashboard. You can edit the contents of each layout separately, without affecting the contents on other layouts in the quick dashboard.

The table below list common tasks you can perform, such as adding and deleting layouts from a quick dashboard and steps to perform each task.

Prerequisites

The procedures below assume you have already created the quick dashboard in which you want to add, delete, or modify layouts.
You must have Edit Dashboard and Run Dashboard privileges.

Task	Steps
Add a layout to a quick dashboard	Click the name of the quick dashboard to run it. Click the Add Layout icon in the top right. A new empty layout is added to the quick dashboard. Add text, visualizations, and other elements to the layout. For steps, see Creating a Visual Insight quick dashboard.
Rearrange the layouts in a quick dashboard	Click the name of the quick dashboard to run it. Do one of the following: To quickly rearrange a layout tab, click and drag the tab of the layout to its new location in the list of tabs. To move a layout one tab to the left in the list of tabs, hover over the name of the layout's tab, click the arrow icon in the top right, and select Move Left. To move a layout one tab to the right in the list of tabs, hover over the name of the layout's tab, click the arrow icon in the top right, and select Move Right.
Rename a layout in a quick dashboard	Click the name of the quick dashboard to run it. Hover the cursor over the layout's tab, then click the arrow icon on the right. A list of options is displayed. Select Rename, then type a new name for the tab in the field. Press ENTER. The layout is renamed.
Delete a layout	Click the name of the quick dashboard to run it. Hover over the name of the layout's tab, then click the arrow icon in the top right. A list of options is displayed. Select Delete. A confirmation message is displayed. Click OK to remove the layout from the quick dashboard.
