Setting Bulk Finance Locks

You can set a bulk finance lock for all projects associated with an initiative or organization hierarchy. All finance data for all periods up to the lock month will be locked. The finances are displayed in read-only mode and users cannot make changes to any value within that period. In addition, you can also create a temporary lock for all finance months with immediate effect. To view, edit, or delete finance locks, see topic Viewing, Editing, or Deleting Finance Locks.

Note: If you have multiple finance locks, then the smallest lock will have the highest priority. Organization hierarchy locks will have a higher priority than initiative locks, which in turn will have a higher priority than global locks. For example, if a project is affected by an organization hierarchy lock month and an initiative lock month, then only the organization hierarchy lock month will affect the project.

To create a bulk finance lock:

  1. Click the Finance tab.
  2. Select the Bulk Finance Locking link.
